Regrinding
Grind flank by moving table back and forth as shown in Fig. 1-(At the end of grinding, be sure to spark out and maintain lip heights within .001 inch.)

Honing
Honing has great influence on tool life and the accuracy of finished surface. Be sure to hone the entire length (including radius) of cutting edge at each regrind.
- For honing shape, refer to Fig. 2, Standard hone shape.
- For honing use diamond file produced by Mitsubishi Materials Corp.
- Diamond files: T-1-140 for roughing, T-0-400 for finishing, T-0-1500 for ultra-fine finishing
